Matt Zirkelbach is President of RunBrook, a consulting firm specializing in green building certification, energy tax incentives, sustainability, and environmental compliance. Matt is a LEED AP for Homes and a LEED for Homes Green Rater. Prior to launching RunBrook, he worked with engineering firms securing approvals for development projects in the southeast, including the expansion of Freeport Harbour, Grand Bahama Island. Matt also developed sustainability action plans for governments including the City of Ft. Lauderdale, Osceola County, and the Town of Palm Beach. Under Matt’s leadership, RunBrook has certified thousands of residential units through LEED, NGBS, and other rating systems, secured millions in energy tax incentives through EPAct 179D and 45L, and helped corporations disclose carbon performance to customers, such as AT&T, through the Carbon Disclosure Project. Matt speaks Spanish and earned a Master’s in Environmental Science from Florida International University and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science from Stetson University, where he played NCAA Division I soccer.
