Brian M. Stolar is the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Pinnacle Companies, a development company that operates in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Florida. Pinnacle was founded in 1984 and has a background in residential development, having built over 8,000 units of both rental and for-sale product. Since 2000, the company has diversified into a mixed-use developer of projects that include retail, office, hotel as well as both for residential, which in total comprise over two million square feet. In 2008, Pinnacle was expanded to include Pinnacle Solutions U.S. , a workout development group which has taken on projects totaling over 1.5 million square feet with banks, private lenders, developers, land owners and municipalities to either restructure, reposition or otherwise resuscitate and restart stalled or failed projects.
Previous to forming Pinnacle, Mr. Stolar was a practicing attorney at Lowenstein Sandler, New Jersey’s largest law firm, where his practice was focused exclusively on real estate finance and transactions.
Mr. Stolar was also one of two co-founders in 1987 of The Briad Group which started with one Steve’s ice cream shop, and which Stolar and his partner ultimately grew to over 75 chain restaurants including Friday’s and Wendy’s, as well as 12 Marriott hotels in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut with 3,500 employees before Mr. Stolar sold his interest in the company in 2001. Today the company continues its growth under the original management team, more than doubling its size again.
