Michael Stein is a Founding Partner of Pensam Capital, LLC, a Miami based diversified real estate investment company. Pensam’s core business platforms are Pensam Funding and Pensam Residential. Pensam Funding provides bridge, mezzanine and preferred equity on transitional and opportunistic transaction in all sectors of the market including commercial, multi housing, hospitality and land. Pensam Residential is the equity investment arm of Pensam Capital. Pensam Residential owns, operates and develops multi housing properties nationwide.

Michael has over twenty years of experience in the commercial real estate investment sector. He was previously the Managing Director of Aztec Group, a Florida real estate investment and advisory firm. At Aztec he completed over US$2 billion of debt and equity transactions with many of the industry’s leading private and institutional investors. Michael has extensive experience in all facets of complex capital transactions and real estate workouts.

Michael is active in local and national community organizations and philanthropic causes. He was past chair of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Commerce and Professions division, a past member of the collector’s council at the Miami Art Museum (now PAMM), a Patron of the Contemporary Art Museum in Miami and a Founder of Mount Sinai Medical Center. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Skidmore College.
