Neil Bane, senior vice president, brings over 27 years of experience to Walker & Dunlop. Mr. Bane provides financing solutions to commercial real estate owners and developers throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Latin America. Mr. Bane specializes in raising equity, preferred equity, mezzanine and debt in highly structured and complex transactions for large single assets, large portfolio transactions, as well as, emerging development and acquisition platforms. Throughout Mr. Bane’s career, he has completed over $8.5 Billion of debt, equity, loan sale and investment advisory transactions for many of the leading multi-family, office, retail, senior housing, condominium, hospitality and industrial property owners, developers and investors across the United States. Mr. Bane has also worked on and completed over $1.5 Billion in debt and equity for large foreign property and development transactions.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Bane served as senior managing director and principal at Johnson Capital and was head of the real estate equity and structured finance team, as well as, senior partner in the hospitality division. During his tenure at Johnson Capital, Mr. Bane originated, structured and closed complex debt and equity transactions. Before Johnson Capital, Mr. Bane spent 11 years with the Carlton Group as a director and senior producer where he consistently ranked as the top originator and producer at the firm. Prior to joining Carlton, Mr. Bane was involved in over $1 billion of conduit and agency financing transactions through his various positions while at ARCS Commercial Mortgage, LLC, and PW Funding, Inc. two leading Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgage banking firms, as well as, Citicorp Securities and Lehman Brothers, two leading conduit lenders.

Mr. Bane holds an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, a M.S. degree in Real Estate Valuation from New York University and a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy. Mr. Bane is a licensed real estate broker in New York and Massachusetts and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), New York Young Men’s & Women’s Real Estate Association (YMWREA) and the Cornell Real Estate Council. Over the years, Mr. Bane has been a frequent speaker and panelist at many of the top leading Real Estate Equity and Investor conferences in Europe and Asia.
