Carlos has over 10 years of experience providing accounting, tax, attest and due diligence services to clients in a range of industries in the U.S. and internationally. He has a substantial background working in the real estate sector, with U.S. clients seeking to do business on a global scale and foreign companies seeking to do business in the U.S. His clients include SEC registered investment advisors, real estate private equity funds, and separate accounts for institutional investors, Real Estate Investment Trusts, residential building owners and managers, commercial/residential condominiums. Carlos consults regularly on financial reporting matters to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Carlos frequently applies agreed-upon procedures to validate the financial track record of real estate operators and developers and consults on evaluating provisions of partnership operating agreements to provide assurance on applicability of profit allocations and cash flow distributions. He has extensive experience with real estate investment companies and in fair value measurement of real estate across all property types.

Carlos is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English and Portuguese. His understanding of multi-business cultures gives his clients a strategic advantage when doing business internationally.

Carlos received his BS in Accounting from the Long Island University – C.W. Post Campus.
