Howard has more than 20 years of diversified tax and financial consulting experience with real estate companies and closely held businesses in a variety of industries. As head of the Real Estate Tax Practice, Howard has extensive experience serving real estate owner/operators, private equity funds, and Real Estate Investment Trusts, advising them on day-to-day operations, tax saving opportunities, and transactional support that includes the acquisition and disposition of real estate.

Howard’s experience in providing tax services to real estate companies includes:

• Structuring advice to minimize taxes in state and local jurisdictions
• Preparation and review of the annual and quarterly Real Estate Investment Trust qualification tests
• Preparation of the Federal, State and Local income tax compliance
• Review and analysis of operating agreements
• Structuring acquisitions and dispositions

Howard received his BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University. He received his JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
